Did a search for Harry Potter, and didnt find any threads suprisingly.
Anyways, as i was reading the start of the 4th book (i've already read them all at least twice) i thought of something in particular about the living situation at Harry's home with the Dursleys. I see similarities with Harry's magic abilities and Intuition. No im not saying that Intuitives are "magical" or any more special than Sensors. They are, however, a minority and not the norm as far as society goes. The Dursley parents remind me of SJ's as they don't understand or want much to do with the unknown. What do you think?

Most definitely. SJs hate anything that doesn't directly correlate with something they can tangibly do or put their hands on. I mentioned in another thread about a certain co-worker who gets on my nerves more than abundantly, and recently he made a remark that I'm filled with "useless information." I found this a completely ridiculous notion, as for him "useless information" is most likely speaking the english language properly (it seems to me anyway). I think NPs probably exhibit traits most dealing with things of other-worldly nature and whatnot; if I were to type Harry I'd say he'd be an INFP.

I think I read the first book halfway and never read it again. It's still in my bookshelf. J's wouldn't understand why I stopped halfway.

PitKnight, i know how that feels. Some of my friends sometimes say "you know alot of random stuff", but thats in a more positive way than your situation.
HT you should finish reading HP its a great book. Besides, everyone else is doing (has already done) it (ages ago)!

what type is JK Rowling? i've heard INTP most often, i was wondering if that is true...her writing style is similar to mine.
a lot of stuff Harry does reminds me of an ISFP...he is nice and tries to help everyone get along (most of the time), likes school but isn't really intellectually driven, his strengths are in physical things like Quidditch. he also has that ISFP idealism.

haha...my dad is incredibly J...he reads every book and watches every movie only once. even if he really likes it.

If harry was an ISFp, i think he would have belonged to hufflepuff.
In my opinion, Griffindor is home to the devoted idealist .

It is Clearly visible that J.k loves and cares for her characters as if they are family. and in the midst of a true NF, she MAy very well feel that Each and every character is symbolic and is a small bit of herself.
She claims that she relates mostly to the hermoine character, but more often than not, writers write about themselves.
I think harry personafies her true image. the internal strength and fortitude to stick to her ideals and skimp out on detail of a present situation in honor of the ideal. Always following where the heart leads.
Harry went into the bassilik chamber to save a dear friend.
His motivation was the perservation of human life because he Cared for Ginny. Clearly an NF trait.
