After being reminded for the 10th time of Hamster every time I hear the 'Rick Roll' song, I decided to create a thread for this. Listed below are some songs that remind me of the other folks here:
AvereX - Kiss From A Rose by Seal (Still! Seal with his silk shirt blown by the fan. Sensitive. Poetic. A lover. A feeler. How can that not be Avery?)
C.Beck - On A High by Duncan Sheik (Haha. This is SO Coop.)
Shorty - Phantom Limb by The Shins (He mentioned 'The Shins' in a couple of posts while I was listening to the song. After that, it remained imprinted in my head.)
Thrusthamster - Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley ( I think you should know why. )
-------------
To a lesser extent:
Amorfous - Such Great Heights by Postal Service
Kastor - Nolita Fairytale by Vanessa Carlton
Lenka - I'll See It Through by Texas
Mayflow - Italy vs Helsinki by Laakso
RadicalDreamer - Charlie Goes To Candy Mountain (After you posted this link, I've always made the connection.)
| Quote: | Oh when you’re down and looking for some cheering up
Then just head right on up to the candy mountain cave
When you get inside you will find yourself a cheery land
Such a happy and joy filled and perky merry land
They’ve got lollipops and gummy drops and candy things
Oh so many things that will brighten up your day
It’s impossible to wear a frown in candy town
It’s the Mecca of love the candy cave
They’ve got jellybeans and coconuts with little hats
Candy rats, chocolate bats it’s a wonderland of sweets
Ride the candy train to town and hear the candy band
Candy bells it’s a treat as they march across the land
Cherry ribbons stream across the sky into the ground
Turn around it astounds it’s a dancing candy tree
In the candy cave the imagination runs so free
so now Charlie will you please go into the cave. |
More will come up as my mind makes the connections. _________________ "You cannot teach a man anything, you can only help him find it within himself." - Galileo

haha, you liked that track hey? Nice.
I haven't seen the vid for it yet, I'll have to check it out when I get home (I don't want to mess with my student download limit here).
Cooper - Britney Spears, Do You Want a Piece of Me
I remember he said he liked the new Britney Spears album once before, and I know he likes electro-y / synth styled pop (which is why I sent him Cobrastyle actually), so now whenever I hear a new Britney track I think of Coop. I actually like this track by the way, it has a pretty cool beat.
Also the title of the track suggests a sort of fiesty, strong willed nature that I would also associate with Coop during one of his rebuttals of someone elses view point. Also INTPs in general.

This is uncanny. I'm listening to the Shins right now on my iPod. Pressed in a Book and Sleeping Lessons are my favourite tracks, if you want to listen to them and think of me in future, k thanks. _________________ mbti: A person -- socionics: who rocks -- enneagram: at life

Julia - The New Pornographers, Jackie Dressed in Cobras
She sent it to me, so naturally the association exists now.
The track itself reminds me of Jumpin Jack Flash by the Rolling Stones (mainly due to the opening riff, which sounds just like it), but mixed with all kinds of awesome. _________________ mbti: A person -- socionics: who rocks -- enneagram: at life
