Bohemian Rhapsody is a nice choice for me.
Better than being swallowed by a Boa Constrictor, which
can be so uncomfortable! _________________ If a human dreams it is an Angel; How sure is it, that it isn't an Angel dreaming that it's human? - Blue Angel http://exploringyourmind.forumotion.com/index.htm |

Also, I like reasonings for these kind of things. I don't think I've talked about my soft spot for Annie Lennox around here, so it's a surprise.
(There is also this song by the Eurythmics that is about me, too. ) _________________ "The difference between people and ideas is... only superficial."

you don't see it? you don't see how a lot of people like to listen to classical music just so they say they listen to it, that it makes them feel smart?
I mean, this isn't even that good. The composition. It's pretty... simple? It's not really suprising or creative. But, it makes it better that it's played by some famous Asian guy on a cello wearing a tuxedo. I swear, the same exact thing could be played by some guy with tattoos in a tank top on an electric guitar, and these psuedo-intellectuals would be saying how bad the song is.
There's far more advanced music out there. _________________ tu fui ego eris

here here rocky
saying how much you don't like something is fine
but when it becomes a condescending rant, the respect goes out the window
and therefore
it becomes subjective and lost in bullshit _________________ Karma Police |

Surprising* and creative are subjective
Have you read classical music? It is a lot more complex than rock music.
I'm not saying you should like classical
But to just fluff off any genre of music in that manner
makes me lose all respect for you in a musical aspect
You may be able to pull off a simplicity card, but definitely not for classical _________________

I just think it's time to move on.
You may say it's more complicated (well, ok, if you compare it to some stuff OF COURSE it will be more complicated than that ). But it's not as complicated as some people would want to believe. I think that's part of my criticism. They listen to it and say it's the most complicated and most intellectual stuff in the world, which is not true. If you have a decent grasp of scales, you can improvise stuff on a daily basis that sounds like a lot of classical pieces. I've fooled people that way before. They say, "oh, that sounds like classical music"... "nope, it's just me". _________________ tu fui ego eris

I feel as if you are digging yourself into a hole. You appear to be basing your argument against pseudo-intellectuals, NOT classical music. Not everybody who listens to classical, I wouldn't even think the majority, believe that it is the most complex music.
Wanna know why you can improvise pieces to sound like classical? Because classical is the building block of most music. Classical begot Ragtime which, in combination with Blues, gave birth to Jazz, the predecessor to Rock. What kind of music didn't have origins somewhere with Classical? I think 'real' Folk music is a separate arc, although modern folk is mixed with country (offshoot of blues and rock and whatnot)
(I don't even like majority of classical music. I'm just sick of how you seem to know everything. I call bullshit. )
edit: Well, I reread what you wrote. I guess that was what you were talking about in the first place. _________________
