Which one would you pick and why?

edit, this one's better:

I'd pick Artemis.

Quote:
She was the virgin moon goddess of the hunt, wild animals, healing, wilderness, chastity, and childbirth.

I like her wildness, she seems so fierce and free. The portfolio sounds very good. Wild things, healing & childbirth, moon, awesome. Except the virgin bit but never mind, chastity can be good for the soul.

I always liked that story of the guy who saw her naked, & even though it was by accident, she turned him into a stag so his own dogs would hunt him down and kill him. Seems a bit harsh, but maybe he was being uncool about it and having a bit of a leer.

I don't want to be Aphrodite, she always seemed like a sick, scheming little bitch to me. Anyone who'd get all hot for a jock like Ares needs their head read.

There's no need to stick with your gender btw. Artemis is just my overall favourite.

haha, sorry for deraling your thread Z.

I did a wikipedia search on Dionysus.

I like, I like Smile

Wikipedia Article wrote:
Dionysus or Dionysos (Ancient Greek: Διόνυσος or Διώνυσος; associated with Roman Liber), the Greek god of wine, represents not only the intoxicating power of wine, but also its social and beneficial influences. He was also known as Bacchus to the Romans. He is viewed as the promoter of civilization, a lawgiver, and lover of peace — as well as the patron deity of agriculture and the theatre. He was also known as the Liberator (Eleutherios), freeing one from one's normal self, by madness, ecstasy, or wine.[1] The divine mission of Dionysus was to mingle the music of the flute and to bring an end to care and worry.[2] There is also an aspect of Dionysus on his relationship to the "cult of the souls", and the scholar Xavier Riu writes that Dionysus presided over communication between the living and the dead.[3]

Within Greek mythology Dionysus is made to be the son of Zeus and Semele; other versions of the story contend that he is the son of Zeus and Persephone. He is described as being womanly or "man-womanish".[4]

PS. I made the 'Wikipedia Article' in that quote box into a link to the article. Complex posting skills ftw Smile
