funny how they are all quite negative - faults galore - it is the same with intp and type 5, which i am aswell. But i am really quite positive and a good person (and modest too Razz) and i amd happy and i dont think that i have a lot of faults. maybe we should take it upon ourselves to re-word all the descriptions so they are positive. like instead of "often late" you could say "doesn't value punctuality (sees other things as more important)" or "often distracted" or something ... hehe

This type comes with emotional stability which in turn doesn't strike me as having many faults.

Yes, it's very accurate.

I thought it seemed more or less accurate... but then I started flipping through through the other R types and one seemed almost as good as any of the others. Ultimately the only part of it that seems eerily on the spot is the "atheist/agnostic tendencies", but that might as well be a fluke. Asking me whether I like being in crowds a dozen or so times and then "predicting" that maybe I'm a little withdrawn is not terribly impressive; on the other hand, I don't think the description gives much of a sense of what I'm actually like. It's a good inventory of the pitfalls of being an introvert, but there's so much that it misses.

I remember you from the INTP forums. Your avatar there attracted my attention for some reason.

Pretty accurate type description. Although, I've noticed these type have a blatently obvious bias towards everything S, C, and A, in nature.

I guess the Big 5 is a pretty nice system though. Accounts for some things the MBTI does not (emotional stability, accommodation). But it's missing the MBTI's Thinking-Feeling distinction. And extraversion on the MBTI is different from this one. This one says introversion is "Reserved types are uncomfortable and/or disinterested with social interaction." MBTI introversion has nothing to do with comfort, but maybe interest.

Anyway, I kinda like it. But as everyone around here has already noticed, it's too negative. Razz

I think the negativity has to do with the system perhaps being designed for therapeists (to help their pasients identify and deal with troubles in their lives) and less for us self-discovery junkies. And as pasients of therapists often have problems in their life, the description focus on them.
