He deffinitely seems pretty introverted from interviews. He doesn't seem too J cause he's really laid back and such, just sorta perceives mostly and takes things loosely. F seems right, feelings look like they play a big part with him, as with T's is mostly just facts about things and feelings are secondary, I guess I'm more split on S/N... I'll just go ahead and say N til I get more stuff. _________________ intp |

Johnny Depp isn't incredibly dreamy solely because of his looks. It's his whole aura, his personality. He's like the perfect combination of eccentricity, broodiness, and boyish charm. _________________ we was all of us just tumbling birds hanging in the sky

Since I don't have the time to write the arguments myself, here is a discussion on his type:

(More discussion on Depp in Pg 1 - 7 of http://www.mbticentral.com/forums/popular-culture-type/82-famous-living-nfs.html )
In addition to Ne ("creat[ing] fictional characters out of seemingly nothing" - The_Liquid_Laser), I sense Fi - he doesn't heed the words of his advisors and prefers to play roles his whims & likings rather than what the script writers & producers had intended.

| wikipedia wrote: | | At the first read-through, Depp surprised the cast and crew by portraying the character in an off-kilter manner.[25] After researching 18th century pirates, Depp compared them to modern rock stars and decided to base his performance on Keith Richards.[24] Verbinski and Bruckheimer had confidence in Depp, partly because Orlando Bloom would be playing the traditional Errol Flynn-type character.[14] Depp also improvised the film's final line, "Bring me that horizon!", which is the writer's favorite line.[25] Disney executives were initially confused by Depp's performance, asking him whether the character was drunk or gay. Michael Eisner even proclaimed while watching rushes, "He's ruining the film!"[25] Depp responded, "Look, these are the choices I made. You know my work. So either trust me or give me the boot."[24] Many industry insiders also questioned Depp's casting, as he was an unconventional actor not known for working within the traditional studio system.[26] |

He just sorta looks like he perceives, he sorta just feels like he feels, like kinda just a vibe that you kinda just see when you watch interviews and he sorta just is probly N because I think I'm N and that would make me cool. _________________ mbti: A person -- socionics: who rocks -- enneagram: at life

Cus he's really going to tell an interviewer "yea I really just choose movie roles that will make heaps of money and don't care about the artistic appeal or merit of any of my roles."
I mean, I bet J-Lo and Tom Cruise say the same sort of things about the roles they "choose".
Though you have convinced me that he probably isn't Te or Fe. _________________ mbti: A person -- socionics: who rocks -- enneagram: at life

The only difference is,
the roles he chooses are actually interesting. _________________ we was all of us just tumbling birds hanging in the sky

I didn't say that he was a bad actor.
I'll also point out that I haven't made a decision on his type yet, I did / do have an idea of what I think it is, though I haven't bothered to confirm this yet, so didn't feel the need to share it.
I don't think that he isn't INFP at this point, but I don't think he is either. I'm just trying to get some reasoning behind people's choices.
When I meet people I like, initially I tend to type them automatically as N. But they aren't always N, and I discover this later, when I actually know enough about them to make a more informed guess. _________________ mbti: A person -- socionics: who rocks -- enneagram: at life

Yea of course. It's not just Amorfous that does it, so I'm not blaming him _________________ mbti: A person -- socionics: who rocks -- enneagram: at life

Yeah, I feel the same way.
This might sound un-INFPish, but, more evidence please!
And Amorfous, what's with the attitude lately? |

yeah seriously... he looks like a twelve year old girl... which isn't attractive at all... unless you like twelve year old girls... which in that case you're pretty messed up... I bet you only find him "hot" because he's famous... if you didn't know who he was you'd probably just think., "eww... whose that sickly-looking loser whose acting like he just had his first period"... |
ahahha No no, he's hot, I don't care about the fact that he's famous... I wish he didn't have any money so I could meet him somewhere and he'd be happy to have such a fantastic person like me like him... |

Holy crap, anyone who think JD is ENFJ or E anything needs to just go stick their head in the nearest toilet and leave it there til their removal from the gene pool is complete.
What Night said made some sense.
I find typing famous ppl is in a lot of instances a great way to get confused and frustrated to little end. |
