This is a copy of something I said over in IORG
(where EVERYBODY knows my name) (and hates me )
The last part is because the new custom there is to quote
the post of the poster before me without adding anything
to show they are ignoring me. Weird.

'k, ifnn y'all don' wanna answer (Gettin' my Texas boots on) *ouch,
that's tight!
I will answer my own Q:
I wanna teach that each is self-responsible for themselves.
I wanna teach that anger, greed and ignorance of the truth of how things
are, create for a worse world and more unhappy and confused people.
I wanna teach that it's ok to think and be different than your
associates and or peers.
I wanna teach that idealism may be a very good thing, but that as
you grow and learn and encounter various other belief
and culture systems, that idealism will also grow and morph into
something better and better.
I wanna teach that you are beautiful from birth and this sometimes gets
lost because a lot of people get confused as they learn the world and
the people around them have also gotten confused, but that you
can learn and work thru this without developing angers or hatreds,
or defensivenessess; but by developing compassion and patience
for self and other along the way.
I wanna teach that learning new things is not a chore, but actually fun.
I wanna teach that everything I wanna teach, I not only wanna teach
to others, but I also wanna teach myself.
Now, you guys can skip over this by quoting each other and not saying
anything new as has seemed to become the forum norm, or you can
actually try to sustain the conversation.
That is, of course, quite entirely up to you. |
I'd be interested to know what others would like to teach the world
if you could. _________________ If a human dreams it is an Angel; How sure is it, that it isn't an Angel dreaming that it's human? - Blue Angel http://exploringyourmind.forumotion.com/index.htm |

While during a heavy indoctrination in classical liberalism I'd teach them how to learn and love. I'd give them the basic tools to bring their visions into reality and understand one another then sit back like the great clockmaker and watch it all unwind. _________________

To read a book and learn some grammar.
Also, when people say things like "i don't understand"
It's usually not the concept that is out of their grasp, but the words that are not making sense to them. This could be because of the words themselves, independant of context, or the way the concept is presented by the words.
Good, evil, painful, productive, useless: i don't care what people do in general, as long as they know what they're doing and they're doing it well.
The mechanics of society are too complex for me to wish for anything more than individuals realizing their goals. _________________ I Need To Prognosticate

Holistic management I'm doing a course in it - it's one of those deceptively simple but powerful things that changes the way you look at everything. Using it could seriously solve all the knotty problems humanity faces today, because it's designed for dealing with complex issues like environmental management or social problems, which resist our attempts to tame them using our normal linear approach. |
