(I know him from INFJforums, Big Will/Corvinius invited me over there and then I left after discovering what a bunch of whinos FJs are. Mayflow, your in your late fourties. You served at a time when the greatest threat to the US was peace keeping missions, and cannot even begin to comprehend what the term honorable or service means.

I am idologically and religiously opposed to medals (refuse them both before and after Iraq on religious grounds), and spent 100 dollars on parachute dress shoes I only worn 3 times in my whole career. The military concept of honor lies somewhere between those two points... and GAP is sure to follow suit in giving this honor to everyone.

Keep your silly terms MP and hope the infantry boys don't beat you too severely at the VFW. WAR VET.... that me, Big Will did get deployed ONCE at least, in a ship, in support, so he qualifies too. We both have done our jobs, and recognize the monsterous tides of bullshit that has been flug by men who make their career from the inside of the above most honorable shoes and shiny medals, and simply cannot give a damn about the shit anymore.

So as to me, I am a war vet, triangle of death at the height of the Iraqi surge, who lost a lot socially and physically from my time in the Army, and gives a fuck about concepts of honor you little pale shadow of a man. I know the evolution of the martial cult of discipline from the Lacedomians to the present, and it's many evolutions, and the cult of the Trophy Fetish in prehistoric greece, and it's adaptations by the Roman state.... and so deeply do not care about 99% of that after reading Du Picq and others, who helped open my eyes. Next person who mentions honor is getting slap upside the head by me with the bloody, smoking debris from the next IED that goes off, perhaps you'll learn something about such silly little children's beliefs.

(Will is a vet... you can never be cause you hid in a peacetime army in a pussy MOS, and will get laughted at in any veteran association.... hmmmm, which has been more important to society.... this is the true question of what makes a valued soldier)
