I think that anger is mostly caused by fear, not understanding how
things really are, and wanting things to be different than you see
them or think they are.
So, it may be a useful emotion to motivate you to make changes
where you can and the changes you can make to correct this and
alleviate the pain are usually from within. _________________ If a human dreams it is an Angel; How sure is it, that it isn't an Angel dreaming that it's human? - Blue Angel http://exploringyourmind.forumotion.com/index.htm |

Anger is another way of expressing emotional disturbance and frustration, just like anxiety and sadness. _________________ INTP 5w6 sx/so/sp |

I often feel a great deal of anger those who use and abuse others. The world is full of people of this nature. The government is guilty of this. It get harder and harder for me to keep sane these days. Society is inherently evil and nothing can stop it now.

I think anger is a tool to engage people on a problem or to protect established beliefs and inhibit growth. I think Mayflow nailed it. The person needs to ask why and then seek and they shall find.. eventually. _________________

| Anger comes from the feeling that you lack control. |

I always thought that anger was the direct result of physical or emotional distress _________________ School is over, the fun begins

I'm sorry, I was born with a malformed anger gland. I cannot provide much insight into the workings of anger. _________________ r|C|UaI |

This is the best explanation offered, though it is not necessarily limited to oneself.
The lack of control could either be due to a loss of it or a desire to gain more.
Examples:
- Social injustice preventing a person/group from achieving their full potential.
- Finding out a significant other is not being faithful in a monogamous relationship.
- Things turning out differently than intially planned.
- Traffic on a busy day.
- Being wrongfully accused.
- Having overprotective guardians.
I was about to post an answer in this thread, until I saw yours.
Thanks Mescaline, this idea will be extremely useful in my two on-going projects and personal self-development. _________________ "You cannot teach a man anything, you can only help him find it within himself." - Galileo

It's amazing how history repeats itself, and is cyclical.
Also how almost nothing is original.
This anger thread I will compare with the newer anger thread and make notes.
Perhaps comparing the two, something fresh and new can pop up. _________________ Apollo LightSun Peaceweaver
