At the same time not being overly stressed in other
areas of life.
Non of us our self actualized.
If one is overly stressed in any area ; physical,
interpersonal, financial, creative, emotional, spiritual,
intellectual and so on that then one is not in pure
balance.
It can have external causes, or internal ones.

Romana, this is not true balance.
Balance has that euphoria of finding one's gift and working in that area,
of one's gift.
We were meant to actualize and find our gift.
If one has not found their gift, then they exist in a shadow land of
life's experiences.
Trying to find meaning, and failing.

In emotional intelligence we must be wary of "EMOTIONAL REASONING".
It is a misnomer and a danger.
Emotional reasoning is I think, feel, and passionately believe that I am
RIGHT, or that my emotions are accurate.
This is not necessarily true.
Our emotions can fool us big time.
A key is if the emotion is negative, there is probably a thought distortion.
Just because I feel it, does not make it so.

And just because I think it, does not make it so.
We can't blame everything bad on feelings, believe me, I've tried. 
I joke, but I think we're all guilty of assuming that our assumptions are correct sometimes. Whether it's based on thought, feeling, imagination, or physical senses, an idea doesn't make truth. Heck, even if I'm 100% convinced that I heard a penguin in my bathroom, I could just be hallucinating.
We could then get into the allegedly subjective and malleable nature of reality, but I think we all have better things to do.

That's why we need each other.
We all have gifts.
You have many, many gifts.
This is not a compliment.
It comes across in your writings.
You've stated that we must play the cards we are dealt.
We all have weaknesses along with our strengths.
I don't like to reveal my weaknesses or shortcomings.
But the human race would be in trouble if they were all as I am.
Tell the truth the human race would be in trouble if all were like just one
of the 16 sub types. We would be crippled as a species.

I would not initially go so far, C.Beck.
(nice to see you C.Beck up & about).
(you are missed when your activity level is less)!
Generally we all have some empathy to a degree.
There are polarizations & extremes.
Some people perhaps have less empathy on the empathy
spectrum, but nonetheless are law abiding citizens, and
contribute to society. These people are loved & have loved
ones.
Now in the extreme, a total lack of conscience + actual inflicting
of pain, for their own pleasure-is a mark of a true psychopath.
Now believe this or not.
I have heard that even true psychopath's may NOT resort to crime,
but may fit into society.

And who in Neverneverland gave us this gift?
We have been on this planet, seperate from the other Apes of our species for around 2 million years. We have been part of and in the loop of nature till around ten thousand years ago for some of us and less than a few thousand for most.
If the time we have been on the planet was condensed into a 24 hour clock we will have been civilized and seperated from nature for about 11 seconds of that 24hrs.
To think that gifts are simply given with no effort at earning is to be seperated from the truths of Nature thus it is unnatural thinking. It is a child of the suburbs mind set.
Gift shmift
Certain Types thrive better in certain circumstances. When you align your Type with it's ideal environment you find your "Gift"......but it is earned. |
