heeeey... new stuff... canciones neuvas... nieuwe muziek... whatever language you wanna say it in...
So, I finally got the chance to record new stuff. I finished three already, but I have a lot more I want to do. I realize that a lot of you won't care to listen or anything, but I think Rad and Amor will, lol. But other people's comments are also welcome, and since these are fresh ones I may sit back and listen to them, and wanna tweek a little.

This first one is special to me, because it was born of pure anger. Maybe a lot of people won't like it, but I love it. Some points may be difficult on the ears, but that's kinda the point, and the end riff is one of my favorites.
2) http://files1.mailboxdrive.com/freemp3s/j/jz898643@albany.edu/906135.mp3
This one is probably a lot easier to listen to. Much simplier, short and sweet. Meant to be more of a pretty song than an angry one.

Number three here is somewhat heavier one, although the middle section I find to be really nice, and a good change. _________________ tu fui ego eris

ProTools.
I think that's what everyone uses. Its a good program, but there are people whose whole job is being a "ProTools Engineer", and I am sadly doing this all by my lonesome. I need an engineer almost as bad as I need I real drummer, lol. _________________ tu fui ego eris

I actually found that post insulting on several levels. You obviously don't know me very well. _________________ tu fui ego eris

The first 50s of #1 was a little frantic at first, and after that I liked what I heard a lot. It felt more structured/cohesive, some notes in the first 50s, I don't think it needed so many, but that's me, I'm a lot more mellow now, lol, what do I know. The next 30 seconds were great. I liked the ending a lot. What you played around 2:30 was really nice, it kinda played off eachother, each intervals, good stuff man. Sounded like it had all the amount notes it needed to be effective. The 3:20 wasn't as effective though, seemed to fall a little. Not sure why.
I really like the end of #2, and well, all of it. I know it's probably a matter of not them all being live instruments, but it doesn't sound full enough, volume wise. Nice melody.
Overall I like them.
Gonna listen to #3 later, lol.
Actually I decided I would listen to it, cause it started off really good. Dang, I don't have any critique on it. Best song here. I like it a lot. _________________ intp |

Obviously not seeing as we've never spoken, but thats besides the point.
I didnt intended for it to be insulting, like I said there were parts that I enjoyed listening to. I never once said your tracks were bad no need to get defensive.
I think as an artist you need to accept that there will always be room for improvement, and past that, not everyone is going to fall in love with the music you make. Don't take it to heart, art is entirely subjective. I think the best way to improve is to observe other artists to broaden your perspective. If you want to point out what was so insulting about it I will gladly explain myself, as the point of my response was not to 'insult' you. My apologies. |

Hey buddy... thanks a lot. If you're into something a bit more mellow but not completely, I just finished a blues song. I'm not gonna upload it until I do one or two more tracks, but I can say that I was really happy with the way the blues one turned out, and that I think it has my best guitar playing on it. (btw, during a part in the guitar solo for that one, I do a somewhat obscure Omar quote... I wonder if you can notice it ). _________________ tu fui ego eris
