The so called favourable job descriptions sound pretty lame to me. Basically the ISFJ's are suppose to be very subservient to others and walk around afraid all the time. I just don't like that at all.

mm.

Kind. Practical. Nice, above all things, nice. Every ISFJ I've ever met has tended to be nice if at all possible. Stable. Practical. Protective. Good listener.

ISFJ: honest, integer, disciplined, warm, caring, naïve, self-effacing, nervous, neat-freak, low self-confidence

I don't like this intolerant thing, not at all. ISFJ are tolerant.

Typical, whenever I go to one of these forums there are hardly any ISFJs yet we are supposed to be one of the most populous types!? It pisses me off 'cause it's usually just a whole bunch of NTs and all they have to say about ISFJs is how illogical we are etc.

I think mostly the description fits me pretty well... although most of the jobs suggested are scary!

My mom is an ISFJ. She doesn't get along with too many people. (she still has friends, I don't want you guys to get the wrong idea here. Wink )

I have an ISFJ bestfriend I've known since childhood, and yes she doesn't like most people. But then neither do I. However, she's nicer and friendlier than me when you meet us in person. She just secretly does not like most people.

Her ISFJness gets to me sometimes, her insecurities makes my eyes roll. And that overdone need for constant reassurance makes me not want to see her for months at a time. But she makes up for everything by being really sweet and a true-blue loyal friend. Best of all, she puts up with me Razz which is saying a lot considering my INTJack-assedness.

Thank God for ISFJs.

Hehe I have an INTJ friend as well and I can totally understand what you're talking about...I think I really drive her insane with my insecurities! It's good to know that an INTJ-ISFJ friendship can work out long term, maybe I'll be less insecure about that now ;)

Personally I don't think I dislike anyone much really, except for people who are cruel to others for no good reason. That reeeally pisses me off - actually I think I bonded with my INTJ friend through issues like that, right and wrong, women's equality and such-like, hehe. In general I think I like NTs 'cause they tend to be fair, whereas other personality types seem to have more issues of arrogance, but that's only my perception, not based on that much interaction really.

My isfj friend has a tendency not to like certain people for a very, very long time. Which I can very much relate to, even if I don't always agree with her. But her, unlike me, is better at keeping her dislike to her self.
