Delete selected data and keep my profile

You can request deletion of any of the following without deleting your profile:

• Your bio, individual profile prompt answers, or three-word description.
• Some or all of your saved favorite bands, movies, books, or TV shows.
• Your saved city, including its original location estimate and any correction.

1. Provide a reachable reply email. A nickname is sufficient for the name field.
2. Write: Please keep my SimilarMinds profile and delete the following data: [list the fields or categories]. Include the profile nickname and say whether you can still open its private results. Do not send the private link itself.
3. Support will confirm the scope and verify control of the profile before making changes. For example, we may ask you to make a temporary profile-name change using your private results page. A matching nickname or an invitation link alone is not proof of ownership.

Only the selected live profile fields are cleared. Your profile, nickname, test answers and results, friend ratings, access links, notification settings, and unselected fields remain. This request does not create a research copy, disable your profile, or delete it. Saving new information in those fields later will store that new information.

Requests are handled manually, not instantly or automatically within 90 days. Support will reply when the requested changes are complete, or explain any verification or retention limitation. If you cannot verify control, we cannot safely change another person's profile.

Delete my entire profile and associated data

2. Write: Please delete my SimilarMinds app profile and associated data. Include the profile nickname and say whether you can still access its private results.
3. Submit the form. Support will follow up to verify control of the profile before deleting it; a matching nickname alone is not proof of ownership. Requests through this form are handled manually, not deleted immediately.

What whole-profile deletion removes

Deletion removes the live profile, bio and favorites, stored city, self-answers, ratings about that profile, private and public access links, and notification registrations. This includes saved Jung, Enneagram and Big Five answers and results, per-test retake records, and profile onboarding source. Associated activity and other identifiable installation records are also included where we can link them to your request. Other people's own profiles are not deleted.

Historical ratings or messages from different browsers or installations may not be identifiable from a profile alone. Tell support if your request covers additional profiles or installations. We may need further verification to locate them.

Deletion requests do not create a research copy by default. Minimal hashes of revoked credentials are retained only to reject retired links and keys, not as research records. Deletion cannot recall screenshots or copies already shared outside SimilarMinds. Operational logs and any infrastructure backups have separate retention described in the privacy notice.

Verification, copies and retained records

For either request, do not include questionnaire answers, passwords, private results links or research withdrawal keys in the contact form. It uses our existing Web3Forms message-delivery service. Use a real reply email for deletion requests, even though the general contact form permits a placeholder. Contact details and support messages are used to handle your request.

Clearing live profile fields does not erase previously shared screenshots or exports, separate research donations, support correspondence, or operational logs and infrastructure backups. Their retention depends on the record and hosting system; there is no single automatic 90-day deletion period. Ask support about a particular retained copy or a separate research-withdrawal request. Deletion in the updated app

Open your results, select Manage profile, then Delete profile. Confirm permanent deletion. Leaving the optional research donation box unchecked creates no research copy.

You can optionally keep your test responses and saved location for research, as described in the privacy notice. You can withdraw this copy under Privacy using its private withdrawal key. Without the app, use the contact form to request withdrawal assistance; do not put the key in the initial message.

Removing a saved link, uninstalling the app, or using an older build's profile-disable option is not permanent data deletion. You can still request deletion here.
