About the Freudian personality inventory
The Freudian inventory uses 36 self-report statements to explore personality through a historical theoretical perspective. You can complete it without studying psychoanalysis or trying to recognize the concepts behind individual questions. It is intended as an educational personality exercise.
Background
Sigmund Freud founded psychoanalysis and developed influential theories about personality and development. This questionnaire is a SimilarMinds interpretation of selected Freudian ideas. It was not written by Freud, and taking it is not equivalent to psychoanalytic treatment or a modern clinical evaluation.
What your results include
The report contains five scores and accompanying interpretations. They describe how your answers fit this inventory's framework, not verified childhood events or a diagnosis. Historical personality theories should not be treated as settled accounts of every person's development.
