About the narcissism inventory
This 25-statement self-report inventory is an opportunity to reflect on a personality topic, rather than a way to diagnose yourself or someone else. Answer from your own experience without trying to infer a label from individual questions. The result is specific to this questionnaire and the answers you provide.
Background
Robert N. Raskin and Calvin S. Hall published A Narcissistic Personality Inventory in 1979, part of the history of questionnaire research on narcissism. That work provides historical context; this SimilarMinds inventory is a separate questionnaire and should not be assumed to be the original NPI.
What your results include
The report gives a percentage score and an explanatory summary. A questionnaire score cannot establish narcissistic personality disorder, assess another person's intentions or replace an evaluation by a qualified clinician.
